ELSA Tutor Accents:

ELSA offers accents from two countries with distinct tones: American and British. You can choose any of these accents, available in different genders and tones, for the AI avatar that guides you through your lessons.

In addition, ELSA now features two 3D tutors – Kevin and Camila – designed to make your learning experience more realistic, interactive, and engaging.

While you can enjoy listening to and interacting with the AI avatar in your chosen accent, please note that ELSA’s pronunciation evaluation system is standardized to American English. This means that regardless of the accent selected for the AI, your pronunciation will be assessed based on American English norms to ensure uniformity and accuracy in feedback.

How to change the AI accents

To change the tutor voice, please go to Profile tab > click Edit profile > then edit the Tutor Voice.

After you have set the accent, the ELSA avatar will speak in the selected English accent.

Currently, the accent preference you select is only applied to all AI-generated lessons in the Learning Path feature, including:

All game types in LP:

  • Select and Speak the Right Answer (All levels)
  • Unscramble Sentence (Only A1 to A2)
