Placement Assessment for B1, B2, and C Learners

This feature is exclusively available to learners accessing ELSA through a School or Company partnership program. It is not available for general individual subscribers.

If you B1, B2, or C during the CEFR level selection, you will need to complete an AI Role-play Assessment.

Before the Assessment

• You will be shown an introduction on AI Role-play before starting the assessment.

During the Assessment

• You will be provided with an AI Role-play scenario designed to reflect real-world conversations.

• You will not receive hints or suggestions like you would in regular AI Role-play practice.

• You will need to meet the criteria for scoring, based on a minimum required set of activities, to complete the assessment.

Completing the Assessment

• Once you meet the minimum criteria for scoring, you will see an “End Chat” button to finish the conversation.

After Completing the AI Role-play Assessment

• You will be able to redo the assessment after completing it, but before receiving your score.

• Once completed, you will be shown the AI Role-play Assessment Summary before proceeding to the EPS Scoring page.

• If a score cannot be provided based on your responses, you may need to complete additional AI Role-play assessments to meet the minimum scoring criteria.

You will then be assigned a CEFR level based on your EPS score, which will be used for your initial Learning Path.

Want to adjust your level?

If you feel that your assigned CEFR level doesn’t reflect your current ability, you can manually change your CEFR level through the existing process after the assessment.
