When you encounter a problem in the app, providing a clear bug report is the fastest way for our team to fix the issue. We need clear steps to replicate the problem—which simply means making the bug happen again in our office.
We cannot fix a bug we cannot see, so your detailed description is the most important piece of evidence!
What Does "Replicate the Problem" Mean?
"Replicate the problem" means our technical team needs to follow the exact sequence of actions that caused the error on your device.
Think of it like following a precise recipe: If we follow your steps exactly, we should encounter the same crash or error screen. Once we can see the bug happen, we can immediately find the broken code and fix it permanently.
5 Key Details We Need
Please use the following format when submitting your bug report:
Detail Required | Why It's Needed | Example of Good Information |
|---|---|---|
1. What you were doing | Helps us start the right lesson/feature. | "I opened the 'Conversation' tab and selected the lesson, 'Talking to a New Boss.'" |
2. What happened | Describes the system failure. | "When I tapped the microphone to speak, the app crashed completely." |
3. Steps to Reproduce | The exact sequence of taps that leads to the failure. | "I did the lesson twice. The bug happens every time after the second speaking attempt." |
4. What you tried | Saves us time by not suggesting steps you already took. | "I checked my Wi-Fi connection, and I updated the app to the latest version." |
5. Screenshots/Video (Important) | Provides visual proof of the bug. | Attach a photo or short video showing all the steps leading to the error screen or unusual behavior. If the video file is large, please upload to Google Drive and set the access permission to public. |
